Ironic and sarcastic self-portraits by young photographer Edward Honaker.

It could not fit better, just when I started to write on this article, Lou Reed’s “Perfect Day” has started to play in my playlist, a song full of beautiful melancholy and lyrics with a certain dose of irony. These pictures from a series of self-portraits by Edward Honaker can be described with similar attributes. With this series, the young California based photographer is documenting his inner self. The black and white images show a variety of moods – often with a little penchant for self-destruction and depression, but always with a certain amount of irony and a twinkle in his eye. You can see more of Edward Honaker’s photos on his website.
