DBLG has created a new brand identity for Channel 4.
In order to develop a new visual language that reflects the broadcaster’s innovative public service, DBLG worked closely with Channel 4’s inhouse creative team “4Creative”. In a bold move, they replaced the old iconic logo with countless unconventional ways to visualize and animate the famous Lambie Nairn blocks. They developed a new TV channel brand solution that looks surprisingly playful with a broad range of colors and graphic elements. This new visual language is now reflected in all areas of the on screen identity including menus and infographics, promos, branded stings, lower thirds, credit squeezes, and even within their popular Channel4 News. Below you can see some examples of the new colorful identity. In addition, a short video at the end of the post describes Channel 4’s new look.
