MASQUESPACIO REDESIGNS & REBRANDS AN ENGLISH SCHOOL IN BARCELONA

Spanish creative agency Masquespacio has been known to create unforgettable interiorswith branding to match in seemingly perfect color palettes that evoke happiness. Their latest is for Acadèmia Altimira, an academy that teaches English classes in the Barcelona town of Cerdanyola del Vallés. After 15 years in business, the owners wanted a redesign of the brand and its interior to appeal to the school’s target – kids, teens, and young adults.

Keeping the different age groups in mind, they wanted a space that all would appreciate and enjoy so they incorporated a palette of fresh blues and greens paired with plywood.

Three-quarter height plywood walls were built to provide defined spaces while making the most of what little natural light the space received. The walls also help to keep noise to a minimum as students practice recitation.

A dark blue track hangs from the ceiling to hold sliding wood doors to the private classrooms. The doors are made from wooden slats that still let light through.

The academy’s printed material now sports the same catchy look as the interior helping to create a cohesive brand.
